planet-cybertron

Cybertron ("Helpon"), or Primus, which describes its/his body, is the home planet of the Transformers, and the space station of the Autobots.

This world is older than you can imagine. It has sailed the starscape...tending budding galaxies...forever a buffer to the approaching darkness. And now its fate...is in your hands.

Autobot subgroup-dinobots

The Dinobots are a rowdy, arrogant, lowbrow, disobedient band of warriors that some Autobots would rather scrap than deal with. They're also one of the most devastatingly powerful and close-knit combat units in the Autobot army, being incredibly powerful in robot mode and taking alternate modes based on dinosaurs, the most powerful creatures to ever roam the Earth.
Most of them dislike Optimus Prime, so whether or not they follow the Autobot leader's orders depends on what those orders are. If it's to destroy stuff, they're down with that. If it's to help people, it kinda depends on what the weather is like.
The group's members are:
In some universes, they occasionally gain extra members, who have included:
In at least one universe, the Dinobots can combine to form a monstrous super-robot called the Beast. (Grimlock explicitly states that this is not the case in another universe, though he has been known to stretch the truth. Hopefully not here though.)
We watch each other's back, we stick together through thick and thin, and no one ever tells us what to do!Grimlock sums his group up., Maximum Dinobots #2

Transformers 4 Bumblebee 2014 Concept Camaro

Bumblebee gets 2 different alt modes in TF4.. just like he did in TF1...

Alpha Trion

In the last days before the war, Alpha Trion was "The Archivist of Iacon," head overseer of the planet's Hall of Records, a place where all the information on the planet's history was stored, locked away...and promptly forgotten. It was a fitting position, as Alpha Trion himself had been placed there by Sentinel Prime to be forgotten as a relic of history...but the elderly Autobot was more than he appeared. A truly ancient and powerful being, Alpha Trion dates from the days of Cybertron's birth. A first-generation child of Primus, he is a member of the Thirteen and the secret, forgotten guardian of two powerful artifacts: the oracular Covenant of Primus and the reality-bending Quill.
Something of a mentor to a young monitor named Orion Pax, Alpha Trion set him on the path to his destiny as Optimus Prime.
Respect your elders.
—Alpha Trion, Exiles

Scraplets

Scraplets are alleged to be the deadliest disease known to mechanical lifeforms in the entire galaxy. It is a complicated form of alien parasite, which lives solely to eat, reproduce, and eat some more.
Scraplets have evolved to resemble pink and blue nuts and bolts, washers and screws. However, when brought into contact with mechanical life, Scraplets instantly and painfully embed themselves into the skin of said creature and rapidly begin to self-replicate. The living metal around a Scraplet quickly corrodes, decaying and cracking away as the embedded Scraplet feasts. This process is painful and inevitably fatal for the infected robot. In a matter of hours, a single Scraplet can reproduce enough to completely infest an average-sized Cybertronian to the point of physical breakdown.
Scraplets are capable of transforming into vaguely humanoid robotic configurations, each capable of elementary speech and reasoning abilities. There are many different forms of humanoid Scraplet; the number of limbs, eyes, fangs and claws vary, though they are all quite tiny by Transformer standards. They use the locomotion afforded by this mode to spread out from a dead or dying host and infect mechanoids whom they might not otherwise be able to come in contact with.
A mass of Scraplets can also merge into a combined humanoid form. In this form they have enormous strength and agility and a primitive group consciousness. However, this form also carries with it some limitations, as they present a larger target and become vulnerable to conventional assault.
Their sense of vision seems to be based on a combination of heat-seeking and metal-detection which is primarily geared towards identifying edible silicon-based life-forms. Carbon-based life-forms are all but invisible to the Scraplet, and usually of no interest.
It is said that there is a rare chemical of legend that can kill a Scraplet, but this is doubtful.
They pick you apart from the inside out, going for the small, juicy bits first, fuse by fuse, circuit by circuit, until there's nothing left. And I mean nothing... not even your optics.

Decepticonzombies-Terrorcons

Born from dead Transformers infused with Dark Energon, the Terrorcons are Megatron's greatest asset—an undead army under his thrall. Each is powerful and relentless in its own right; en masse, their persistence and Dark Energon they radiate can sap the strength of their Autobot prey until they can pull it down and tear it apart. Thankfully, they are not invulnerable. Energy blasts of sufficient force can deter them, though the best method is to use bladed weapons to slice them to pieces—the smaller the better—as the Dark Energon charge cannot sustain itself within the smaller, disparate components. Simply slicing them in half doesn't seem to be sufficient, though the method of irradiation may be a factor: The one case known to be prodigiously active despite total bisection was the product of a direct implantation of crystallized Dark Energon; all others to date have been created by absorbing energies emitted over a wide area by a shattered crystal.
That is no longer an Autobot, just a mindless beast. Its only instinct: to destroy anything in its path.Megatron"Darkness Rising, Part 2"

Predacon commander-predaking

Predaking is a Decepticon-created beast cloned from Predacon fossils and brought to life by Shockwave's science. Megatron had expected this dragon to follow his orders without question like an obedient pet, but Predaking has shown that he is far more than meets the optic sensor. With speed, intelligence, fire breath, and enough power to make a Wrecker quake in his boots, Predaking makes Autobots and Decepticons alike fear his visage.

Predacons

The Predacons are a faction/race of ancient Cybertronian beasts led by Predaking. Although rendered extinct through unknown circumstances, Shockwave has discovered the trick to cloning them from preserved CNA samples, which doesn't bode well for anyone, really... His experiments have even extended to splicing the CNA samples into normal Cybertronians, leading to hybrids like his devout disciple Ser-Ket.
Members include:

Insecticons

Denizens of the under levels of Cybertron, the Insecticons live in destructive swarms. Ravenous and aggressive, Insecticons can digest 95% of known matter, reshaping their findings into enormous subterrannean hives. Existing as a near hive mind, they represent a deadly and invaluable resource for those willing to find a way to tame them.
Insecticons have the unique ability to clone themselves, but each successive clone is inferior to its progenitor, leading to increasingly bestial creatures. Three members of the species stand out as being fully sentient individuals, with the ability to assume bipedal robot modes. Far more difficult to manipulate, they require coercion rather than control, and may represent the original members of their race.
These four have been named:

unicron the chaos bringer

Unicron is the eternal arch-enemy of his twin brother Primus. Also known as the Lord of Chaos, the Chaos Bringer, and the Planet Eater, he is dedicated to consuming the multiverse. His massive form is powered by the consumption of planets, moons, stars, and even the very fabric of existence. Unicron will not be sated until his ultimate goal is attained: to bring an end to the annoying creation boasting independence around him, and find peace by becoming the living center of a swirling, infinite torrent of nothingness at the end of all things.
To undertake this seemingly overwhelming task, Unicron is able to travel across realities at will, a meandering plague upon existence itself.[1][2] Integrated into his systems are incomprehensible quantum computers which calculate probabilities forward and backwards in time, in perpetuity, giving his processors an ever changing, evolving map of the multiverse.[3] With these abilities at his disposal, Unicron has thus far devoured approximately 22.56% of known universes. [4]
The only thing that he fears is Primus's essence, contained inside the Matrix. To a being of chaos and uncreation, this font of life is a poison.
Frequently, Unicron will make deals with lesser beings, promising them vast new powers in exchange for their servitude. These minions are sometimes stripped entirely of their free will, but others follow him willingly. Service to Unicron, however, is a double-edged sword, for it causes insanity and loss of self. And in the end, Unicron's plans ultimately call for their consumption as well.
Unicron is frightening. Unicron will destroy... will destroy space.

Decepticon-makeshift

Makeshift, code designate 777, is a Shifter, a legendary breed of Cybertronian who can change his shape into any form that has roughly the same mass. More importantly, he can alter his voice and mannerisms to impersonate other Transformers -- and he's pretty good at it too. Makeshift has claimed under interrogation that he doesn't kill his prey when it's not necessary, but he's not the most honest of robots.
Makeshift has formed a distinct enmity with the sometimes-Decepticon Axer.
You're fighting the natural law of the universe. Kill or be killed. Use resources or become a resource. Conservation of energy demands it.Makeshift, Exiles

Decepticon-miners

Decepticon Miners are servant-class Decepticons, working on Megatron's various mining projects. As they are not warrior-class, the Autobots do not kill them indiscriminately like they do Vehicons. Despite this, Miners possess the same weapons as Vehicons and are capable of defending themselves and their work if necessary.

autobot-tailgate

ailgate once worked alongside Arcee. They really didn't get along at first, but their fighting skills were pretty evenly matched, and the two became a powerful, nigh-unstoppable team.
And then they went and got caught, and Tailgate went and got dead. Arcee didn't take that very well.

autobot-ratchet

The Autobots' medical officer, Ratchet has a dry wit, often giving his wounded comrades a hard time for taking hits he somehow avoids. With the Energon supplies becoming less and less, he works to find new ways to make do, and he'd really prefer if the Autobots didn't risk injury (or worse) to protect humans. He'd also prefer the humans weren't brought back to Autobot Outpost Omega One but since he is unfamiliar with human tech, he needs Raf Esquivel to help him out. However, for all his views on humans, deep down Ratchet admires what the tiny fleshies bring to the fight.
In a contest between resources and ingenuity, never underestimate ingenuity.Ratchet, Exodus

autobot-arcee

A former scout on Cybertron before the Great ExodusArcee is the least physically-imposing of Optimus Prime's crew, but she's also Optimus's most reliable soldier, his go-to gal when he needs someone he can count on.[1] Whatever she lacks in physical form she more than makes up for it in force of personality. She is tough as nails at all times, always ready with a snarky quip even in the face of deactivation, not afraid to bend the rules every now and then, and seemingly never, ever scared.
And while that is largely true, and makes her an incredibly dangerous opponent (especially in melee combat, her specialty), that force of will is also a bit of a front. The loss of a partner back on Cybertron rattled her, leading her towards a path of going it alone. And when she finally started opening up to another partner on Earth, losing him shook her to her core. To then be immediately saddled with the task of being the "guardian" for Jack Darby, one of the locals accidentally caught up in the struggle on Earth, well, let's just say she was less than thrilled about that.
Okay, she was openly verbally hostile to Jack over the whole thing, but her loyalty to Optimus kept her from refusing the task. Like it or not, she's his guardian, and she's going to protect that boy's life... with her own, if she has to.
Slowly, but surely, Arcee is coming around again and facing her past demons. Jack's bravery and ingenuity even when in mortal peril is growing on her. Who knows. He might make a good partner.

autobot-smokescreen

Smokescreen is an eager young Autobot recruit, all too ready to fight in the Great War. While he may talk a mile a minute and be greener thanBulkhead's paintwork, Smokescreen at least has the sense to use his wits when charging into a situation, rather than heading in firing blind. He also idolizes Optimus Prime and will do anything to impress him.
Now that was a plan!
—Smokescreen, New Recruit

autobot-bulkhead

Bulkhead looks huge and menacing but is actually quite careless and gentle souled. Though he's no Brainiac nor a fast runner, Bulkhead is one of the most sturdy members of Team Prime. He's afraid of hurting things smaller and more fragile than him, but his new human friend, Miko Nakadai, has helped him grow past that. He has a low tolerance for jerks and bullies, and is quite happy to let people like that stew in the trouble they've made for themselves, but his better impulses—or at least, needling from those around him—always sway him into helping in the end.
After a long road trip, feels good to get out of the car, stretch my legs, and kick some tailpipe!Bulkhead on crushin' Cons, Convoy

Autobot Wrecker -wheeljack

Wheeljack is one of the roughest Autobots around. As one of the last surviving Wreckers, he's seen plenty of action, and he's got the snarky one-liners to prove it. If there's anything he likes more than slicing up Decepticons with his swords or inventing new gadgets to blow up Decepticons in different ways, it's hanging with his old buddy, Bulkhead (who calls him Jackie).
Wheeljack doubts Optimus Prime's leadership capabilities, believing he's more of a stuffy old figurehead than a warrior. Wheeljack also chafes under too much supervision, which immediately puts him and the authoritarian Ultra Magnus at odds. That's why he usually takes off shortly after he's arrived. He'd rather be on his own.
If you're trying to ruin my day, you're gonna have to try harder.
—Wheeljack, "Con Job"

autobot-cliffjumper

Cliffjumper (Cliff to his chums) isn't your run-of-the-mill Autobot freedom fighter. Armed with six-cylinder ion cannons, a quantum-sensitive multiphase targeting system that would make Megatron jealous, and of course, the old-school technique of pummeling Decepticons with his fists, Cliffjumper prefers to liven up the day with firefights while retrieving enemy intelligence. He more than lives up to his name: He'll fearlessly leap longbefore he bothers looking!
Need backup?
Arcee
Do I ever need backup?
—Cliffjumper tempting fate, "Darkness Rising, Part 1"

DecepticonSoldiers-vehicons

Vehicons may be Megatron and Starscream's cannon fodder and suffer from particularly poor marksmanship, but they do possess sweet alternate modes, be they sports cars, jets (a Seeker variant), helicopters, or tanks.
If they're not slagged by an Autobot, they can be used for experimentation or even simply recycled for parts by a superior, but that's their lot in life, and by and large, they accept this. Their primary motivation is the thought that someday they might make a name for themselves —literally— and rise to the upper ranks. Thus they have a tendency to follow orders blindly, are highly expendable.
They are also called Eradicons. It's a bit confusing.

Decepticon Mini-Con-laserbeak

Of the Deployers who stand with SoundwaveLaserbeak may say the least, but he quickly distinguishes himself, as his powerful laser attacks can pin down an Autobot attack force... when it isn't cutting them to shreds.

autobot-ultramagnus

Ultra Magnus is the hammer-wielding commander of the Wreckers, and one of Optimus Prime's closest lieutenants. He's more than capable of whipping even the worst disarray into military discipline, though he can get rather hung-up on protocol. Regardless, he's rightly feared among theDecepticon ranks.
Daring, strategically ingenious, and courageous to the point of recklessness, Ultra Magnus hammers back the Decepticon forces — literally.Alpha TrionCovenant of Primus

autobot-bumblebee

Bumblebee is a young and eager Autobot, one of the last generation to be created before the loss of the AllSpark. He's full of energy and determination to do the right thing, and can always be counted on to volunteer for action. His small size matched with his impressive speed make him an excellent scout and messenger.
He's been on Earth longer than any other Autobot, and he's grown to like and understand humans, particularly Raf Esquivel and Axel Frazier. If you're a Decepticon and you want to threaten any humans, you better not think you can get away with it just because Bumblebee's small and can't talk: he can't talk because his voice box was destroyed in combat and he's still kept fighting, because Bumblebee will take any risk and make whatever sacrifice necessary to win the war.
Bumblebee, it wouldn't kill you to exercise caution.RatchetWar for Cybertron

autobot-Optimusprime

The Cybertronian who would become Optimus Prime was once a simple data clerk, satisfied with his job. He was always anxious of the inequality amongst the cybertronians and thus, after gaining inspiration from an outspoken gladiator named Megatron's call for an upheaval ofCybertron's society, took a stand to rid the oppressive caste system which hindered the freedom of all the sentient beings on Cybertron. Little did he realize that his instructor, the master archivist Alpha Trion, knew of a secret potential within the data clerk, and that Cybertron's history was at a precipice. Once he and Megatron discovered they did not have as much in common as they once believed, the lowly data clerk was promoted by the High Council to be the next Prime.
Over the centuries, loss and war have led Optimus to appear stern and serious to most. But scratch the surface, and you'll find an individual who greatly cares for his fellow living beings, with a warmth and kindness his closest friends can rely on. You'll also find regret over the loss of a comrade to darkness, and the faintest glimmer of hope that he can be saved.
He is sometimes partnered with Chief Charlie Burns.
We will wage our battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons wherever it may take us. And one day, we will go home.
—Optimus Prime, Transformers: Exodus

Decepticon-hardshell

Among the InsecticonsHardshell is one of the most ferocious. He doesn't need to prove it through words, as his many battle scars, gained while off-lining many a Wrecker, are ample proof. Shockwave describes him as preferring to rely on strategy and weaponry instead of his instincts. Hardshell also likes to gloat about those he has destroyed in battle, does not believe in mid battle banter and has little patience for those who insult him or his brethren.
